TYPICAL SHIPPING PROCESS IS PAINFUL TO CUSTOMERS

Heavy Goods shipping is too complicated and too slow

First, the shipper contacts one or more LTL carriers and separately a final mile carrier

LTL carrier picks up from manufacturer, confirming with paper documents

LTL carrier contacts second LTL carrier or final mile terminal to schedule handoff/delivery of freight

Final mile terminal receives freight, using paper and clipboard; No warehouse or delivery management technology

Final mile terminal live calls the consumer to schedule a delivery date

Order is delivered to consumer’s home and they sign confirmation of delivery. Shipper does not get confirmation until paperwork is processed

Each LTL carrier and final mile carrier submits its own invoice which can triple paperwork processing
